Broadway Under the Stars

Our Symphony Orchestra puts on a free outside concert every year where they play a selection of Broadway songs. I took the girls this year and they loved it! I was worried at first because it didn't start until after Emily and Sarah's bedtime, but they did very well!


Emily made friends with everyone around us who had food! I'm not even sure how many cookies she had by the end of the evening! Sarah was a little more timid about going up to people, but had no problem at all wandering off (see her in the back of the picture). Since I was there by myself it was a little tricky keeping an eye on two toddlers at the same time, but I managed and only lost one for a few seconds :)


Elizabeth took Dandy Dog with her to hear the orchestra. She got to take him home from preschool for the weekend. Elizabeth loved the concert! We do a thing with her at bedtime where we sing I could have danced all night from My Fair Lady while dancing with Elizabeth to bed. That just happened to be the first song they played and boy did her face light up!

Emily and Sarah were ready for bed before the concert was over so after giving them their bottles we walked back to the car, got everyone in their carseats, rolled down the windows and drove up closer so we could hear the rest of the music. That also enabled us to get out ahead of the crowd once it was over!

That is so fun! I remember the fun stuff like that from my childhood. The dog seemed to be having fun, too! ;)

That sounds great! You're brave to take all three of them by yourself! What a good mom you are. Also? Totally cute kids if I do say so (and I do).

The twins were supposed to be in their beds in their room watching a movie for quiet time while Joseph was taking a nap today. I heard them in the kitchen and asked them why they were out of their room. They instantly started saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" so naturally I went to see what they were so sorry about. And the diagnosis is . . .

Friday morning Emily woke up with a fever. By Sat night it got up to 105! Boy was she a sick baby. Sun morning while Andrew took Elizabeth and Sarah to church I took Emily to Primed. Her WBC was high (21) so the doc new it was a bacterial infection and gave her a shot of antibiodics. He didn't run any other tests though so we didn't know where the infection was. (I was kinda frustrated about that) Even with motrin and tylenol she ran a nasty fever the rest of the day. Monday I took Emily to her regular Dr who ran all kinds of tests and discovered my poor baby girl had Pnemonia!!! She got another shot of antibiodics and was put on oral antibiodics for 10 days. Her oxygen level was great so I got to take her home, but I have to take her back in a week for a repeat chest x-ray to make sure the pnemonia is gone. Sarah started running a fever Sunday night so the doctor did a work up on her and found she had elevated WBC too so she was put on antibiodics as well to fight off the inf...
