Twins in Trouble

The twins were supposed to be in their beds in their room watching a movie for quiet time while Joseph was taking a nap today. I heard them in the kitchen and asked them why they were out of their room. They instantly started saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" so naturally I went to see what they were so sorry about. When I saw them I put them in the tub right away and asked them what happened . . .

They some how managed to get into Elizabeth's ink and stamp set and decided to decorate themselves and their bedroom.

You can tell by the look on Sarah's face she knows she is in trouble.

And Emily doesn't seem any happier.
They colored their beds

Elizabeth's Bed
And the rug on their floor.
After their bath they spent the next two hours scrubbing everything they touched in the kitchen, their ink footprints off the floor, and the rug in their room. They were not happy with the manual labor, but were smart enough not to complain. I'm hoping they'll think twice (or at least once) before getting into something like that again.

That's some intense art work. Did it come off of everything?

There really was a lot of work and effort put into that little art project. I'm sure they didn't appreciate the work it took to try to reverse it. Hope it came out! Doesn't blogging about things make it a little easier to laugh instead of scream? It works wonders for me! I'm going to try to blog more and holler less. Thanks for sharing!
I'm having a child because??? Just kidding, but it is moments like this that make us question. Wow, I hope that came out of everything.

WOW! They were very thorough! I'm glad you got some documentation of that. And I'm glad it didn't happen at my house! :)

Oh my!!! Loved the video! You could tell they felt SO bad! And what a great mom you are to reinforce the consequences naturally. My question is: Did everything come out?!

After about an hour of the kids working at it alone Andrew got home and helped with the rest. Another hour later and just about all of the ink was removed from around the house. Let's just say I'm very thankful for stain removers and the magic eraser right now!
