preg update

I'm at 28 weeks today and so far this pregnancy has gone pretty well. I have to take it a little easy or the contractions try to get out of hand but so far no bed rest and no meds for the contractions (which I've ended up with every other pregnancy)

I failed the glucose test at the OB office and was not thrilled at all at the idea of taking the 3 hr one. They call it a "3 hr glucose test" but believe me it takes way longer than 3 hrs! You can't eat or drink anything except water after midnight the night before. Then I had to go the the hosp out patient registration and wait to get registered. Then wait for lab to call me back. Get my first blood draw and then wait until they get the results of that and then finally drink the cup of sugar to start the 3 hr test. It's a total of 5 sticks and a lot of time wishing I could eat. I did get a lot of reading done :) Anyway I did end up passing so no Gestational Diabetes for me!!

The girls are so happy about having another baby in the family. Elizabeth is practicing with her newest cousin Joshua who is only 2 months old. Joseph now loves pulling up my shirt so he can "kiss baby." I still dont' think he has a clue what is going on, but it is cute to watch him none the less. I'm really excited about Joseph getting a little brother :)

Glad to hear that you passed your 3 hour test. Joseph might love having a brother, but you may find your hands quite full with two little boys. But then again, considering what the twins seem to find to get into, it may be a piece of cake:)

The twins were supposed to be in their beds in their room watching a movie for quiet time while Joseph was taking a nap today. I heard them in the kitchen and asked them why they were out of their room. They instantly started saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" so naturally I went to see what they were so sorry about. When I saw them I put them in the tub right away and asked them what happened . . . And the diagnosis is . . .

Friday morning Emily woke up with a fever. By Sat night it got up to 105! Boy was she a sick baby. Sun morning while Andrew took Elizabeth and Sarah to church I took Emily to Primed. Her WBC was high (21) so the doc new it was a bacterial infection and gave her a shot of antibiodics. He didn't run any other tests though so we didn't know where the infection was. (I was kinda frustrated about that) Even with motrin and tylenol she ran a nasty fever the rest of the day. Monday I took Emily to her regular Dr who ran all kinds of tests and discovered my poor baby girl had Pnemonia!!! She got another shot of antibiodics and was put on oral antibiodics for 10 days. Her oxygen level was great so I got to take her home, but I have to take her back in a week for a repeat chest x-ray to make sure the pnemonia is gone. Sarah started running a fever Sunday night so the doctor did a work up on her and found she had elevated WBC too so she was put on antibiodics as well to fight off the inf...
