Taking my animals to the zoo

I wouldn't say it was cool, but today was not too hot so we decided to go to the zoo. We hadn't been since Joseph was born so it was almost like a new experience for the twins and Joseph thought it was great. We went with a friend of mine who has 3 kids and I had 5 kids with me (my 4 plus Gavin) so you can imagine the stares we got. Several people even came up to us and asked "do all of these kids belong to you?" My answer to them " Three belong to my friend, four belong to me, and the youngest is a loaner." I loved the looks we go ;)I was really glad I never gave away the twins double stroller because it works great for getting around with Joseph and Gavin. They are close enough to see each other, but not close enough for Joseph to grab Gavin's face (which is one of his favorite things to do so I have to be careful.)
There was a Zebra somewhere in the background when I took this picture, but I'm not really sure where he went.
Gavin had a good time at the zoo. He really seemed to love being outside and the other kids enjoyed getting him to laugh and smile.
Joseph loves animals. At my parents house he will crawl around (yes he is crawling now) until he finds their cat (well actually it's Miriam's cat) Dusty and then grabs Dusty and wrestles him to the ground until he has him pinned and just holds him. Luckily Dusty is very tolerant of kids and just lies there and takes it. Well anyway at the zoo we came to the Jaguar Exhibit and as this big cat starts pacing back and forth in front of the kids Joseph gets all excited. He's sitting in the stroller with his arms and legs going trying with all his might to get to this great big kitty.

5 kids at the zoo? You have proven yourself to be a true woman. Any pointers for me for next summer?

Yahoo! I took my 5 to the zoo on Thursday. No one asked me about them, though. I guess one woman and a gaggle of kids in Idaho is nothing to stare at.

You got much better pictures than I did. I didn't have my camera, much to my kids' dismay.
