Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day! We had a great day today! The only thing that could have made it better would have been if Andrew was here instead of at work :(
The day started off with a special breakfast for the kids. Pink Heart Pancakes with strawberry milk. The girls thought the pancakes were the neatest thing they had ever seen!
My favorite part was after Elizabeth started eating she informed me they tasted just like regular pancakes (food coloring has no flavor I tried to explain to her.)
Sarah and Elizabeth showing off their hearts.
Emily with a bite out of hers.
After breakfast we had to rush a little to get to the twins first dance recital. This recital was very laid back and a wonderful relaxed environment for the kids. The main purpose was to get the little ones used to dancing on the stage before their big performance this May.

At first Emily and Sarah were terrified at the thought of going on stage. They wouldn't take off their sweaters and refused to change into their Tap shoes. Brandy (their dance instructor and my cousin) was great and helped slowly ease them onto the stage. They also let all the little girls run around and do their own little dancing on the stage before the recital actually began. It really helped!
Here's Brandy with the girls (top) and Sarah (bottom)
When it was time for their performance, the twins could hardly wait to get up there on Stage and strut their stuff.
Here is Emily waiting for the music to start.
Sarah showing off her moves.
Aren't the little girls just adorable!
They had sooo much fun up there on stage in the spotlight.

Here is a short clip of part of their dance. Can you tell which side of the stage Brandy (their dance instructor) was standing?
Once the recital was over the little girls changed our of their costumes and we went to Sam's to celebrate (and pick up a few necessities). Together the girls got to choose a pretty bouquet of flowers that were from their Daddy (who was at work) and they each got a big soft pretzel with cinnamon and sugar. Then home for nap/quiet time (my favorite part of the day some days).
Then this evening Elizabeth had a birthday party to go to so we dropped her off and headed to CiCi's pizza for dinner (no, I didn't fall this time) and over to the dollar tree so the kids could pick out a special toy for Valentine's Day and to kill some time before going back to get Elizabeth.
Right now it is about 9pm and I think the last kid has finally fallen asleep. But before I finish this post there is one more very important thing about today. It is also my Mom's Birthday, so
Happy Birthday Mom!!!! I love you!

We did pink pancakes and pink drinks for breakfast, too!! So fun!!
Happy Valentine's Day!!
The girls look like they really enjoyed dancing. I loved seeing them dance on stage. I can't believe how BIG they have gotten. It is hard to believe that they were once so teeny tiny. Glad to see that everyone is healthy and happy.
