It's a bear party!

For her birthday, Elizabeth wanted a Build-a-Bear party, but it was a little out of my price range. We did manage a compromise and did an at home version which ended up being a LOT cheaper!

First the kids each got to select a Bear and fill them with stuffing.
Next they all took their new friends to sing a couple songs. Nothing funner than "Going on a Bear Hunt" and "I saw a Bear: (the echo song)." It was fun singing with the kids, but I'm really glad Andrew only got a picture and not a video clip of me singing!

Next it was time to select outfits for the bears. There were lots to choose from and I was so glad there were not fights or arguments over who got which outfit. The kids all did really well.
Finally it was over to the adoption center where they got to name their bears and get an official looking adoption certificate. It was amusing to see some of the names these poor little bears will have to live with :)
No adoption is complete without a family picture :)
To go along with the Bear theme we had Gummy Bears, Teddy Graham snack mix, and Bear cupcakes.
This was my attempt at making cupcakes look like bears. It's amazing what a few vanilla wafers and some chocolate chips can do!

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!!
