Flu Shots

For two days this past week I got to work and earn money! Novel concept for a stay-at-home mom :) There is a clinic here that goes out to other companies; in the spring they do health screenings, and in the fall they give flu shots. I've kept my nursing licence current, so I had the pleasure of working with them up in the Birmingham area this past week giving flu shots. I had to get up at 3:30am both mornings (which is really not much fun) but it was worth it. We all traveled up together in a really nice RV (I'm actually thinking about getting one, just not any time soon :) I spent all day Wed and half a day Thurs giving flu shots. I think by now I could give them in my sleep!

In case you are wondering what I did with the kids while I was working, Andrew got to be a single dad for a while. He had the kids all to himself for 12 hrs one day and 6 hrs the next. I am happy to report that not only did everyone survive, but they were happy! He got Elizabeth to her dentist apt, went grocery shopping, and took the kids to Sams. Andrew is such a great dad and husband!!!!

Love the new look!!! The picture of the kids in their costumes is ADORABLE!

I think it's good that dads get to be home full-time for a couple of days. They seem to gain a new appreciation for all that we do. Good for you!

I just love that comic! Hope you had a good time. I want an RV someday, too. Hopefully by then they will have a cheaper form of fuel so that I can travel the country!
