I DID IT!!!

Believe it or not, I just got done making this dress for Elizabeth!! Sewing is not my thing and I have done very little of it, but I decided to give it a try. I picked out a VERY easy pattern and Elizabeth got to pick out the fabric (My Little Pony) and I got it all cut out and was starting to feel a little more at ease about the whole thing. Then I tested the sewing machine. It is an older model given to me by my Mother-in-law and it just seemed to hate me! No matter what I did it just wouldn't sew a stitch. I finally got online and did some trouble shooting and was able to get the thing to start working right. My next step was to make sense out of the directions and start sewing. The only real oops I had was when I accidentally sewed one of the sleeves on inside-out! I was a little frustrated as I ripped out the seam and tried again. I am very happy with the way the dress turned out and the smile on my little girl's face as she put on the dress that her mommy made was priceless!!

Great job! Now she'll be wanting you to sew her prom dresses and eventually her wedding gown. Maybe you can alter that easy pattern for those! ;)
