Raptors
We took the kids on a field trip to the Raptor Center in Auburn last week. They rescue injured Raptors (or birds of prey) and rehabilitate them so they can be returned to the wild. The birds they get that don't get back to 100% (missing an eye, wing that won't heal all the way, etc.) they keep at the center. We got to go and see some of those birds.
Miriam and her boys came along with us as well as Sherry and Riley Ann. The kids loved being able to get this close to an owl.
Jordan just couldn't keep his eyes off the Vulture long enough for a picture. We really had to keep a close eye on the kids because we were told if fingers got too close to the cages, the birds were known to bite!

This is our little family in front of the Falcon. Elizabeth isn't with us because she was at school :)

I love the look on this owl's face. Joseph's face on the other hand is saying "I'm tired and want my bed."
Last I got a video clip of a noisy little falcon :)
