Spelunking
We wanted to get out of the house so we decided to take the kids to DeSoto Caverns. Andrew had been as a boy and really wanted to go again. The drive was a little long, but wasn't too bad since we had DVD players for the kids :)
When we got there we had just missed a tour of the cave and had about an hour before the next one would start so we found a playground and let the kids run around.

At one point during the tour all the lights were turned off so we could experience "total darkness." It was kinda neat and I was impressed that the girls didn't "freak out" to quote Emily.

We had so much fun caving and it really wore the kids out. After only 5 min in the car Elizabeth was the only one still awake!

Some wonderful friends of ours gave us this backpack and it was a life saver! Joseph loved being high enough to see everything and we didn't have to carry a heavy wiggly boy or try to maneuver the stroller around in the cave!
Someone was nice enough to take this picture so we could have one with all of us in it.
